Release notes
Current version 1.2.0. Every change to BerryPM, newest first.
- v1.2.0
Scope trade-offs, assumption tracking and clearer work references
Make sprint scope changes deliberate, validate assumptions before they disrupt delivery, and use clear task and ticket references across your team. This release also adds appropriate record-management controls, reference-bearing notifications and updated help.
New
- Scope Trade-off Ledger: Enable scope protection per project to record decisions before adding work or increasing effort in an active sprint. Swap work, accept impact, allocate known capacity or defer the change, with an append-only decision history and CSV export.
- Assumption Validation Radar: Track validation deadlines, owners, evidence and dependent tasks. Overdue assumptions generate risks and block unfinished linked work; verification resolves the generated risk and restores work where no other assumption still blocks it.
Improved
- Task and ticket references: Refer to tasks by project key and number, such as TLP-8, and tickets by their TKT number. References appear across work views, sprint items and details, with copy-ID, copy-link and accessible-record search.
- References in Scope ledger: See task IDs for affected and displaced work in scope decisions and exported records, making trade-offs easier to discuss and trace.
- Clearer task and ticket notifications: New assignment, status and mention event labels include task or ticket references alongside titles. Configured email and Slack alerts preserve those labels, and notification links open the relevant item.
- Purposeful editing and deletion: Correct open assumptions, maintain sprint planning and remove manual risks when permitted. Completed work, scope history, breached or verified assumptions and generated risks retain their safeguards.
- More project planning controls: Maintain phases, workstreams, increments, sprint dependencies, budget entries and resource assignments through permission-checked project controls, while retaining service and audit history.
- Updated Help Center: New guides explain task and ticket IDs and record-management rules. Task and ticket details now link to identifier help; scope, assumption, notification and release guides reflect the latest workflows.
- Public-page search metadata: Public pages use their primary-domain canonical addresses, and pricing offers include additional digital-delivery information for search engines.
Fixed
- Reliable notification visibility: New notifications retain the recipient workspace, and missing workspace labels on existing notifications have been repaired without widening access.
- Published release-note visibility: Published release notes remain readable publicly while drafts stay private. Unexpected loading failures show an error instead of an empty changelog.
- v1.1.0
Feature knowledge from sprints, easier dates and help on every screen
This release turns finished sprint work into a clear catalogue of released features, makes dates quicker to enter, lets you log your own risks and share feedback in two clicks, and adds helpful guidance across the app.
New
- Sprint feature knowledge: Completed sprint work now builds a growing catalogue of released features in Docs, showing the sprint where each feature went live.
- Smart feature mapping: BerryPM suggests which tasks belong to which feature using simple naming rules. You review every suggestion before it is saved.
- Log your own risks: Capture any risk from the Create menu or the Risk Register, with owner, review date, probability, impact and mitigation.
- Quick feedback: Share an idea or report a problem in two clicks from the top bar. It goes straight to the Service Desk.
- What's new banner: A short banner announces each release and links to these release notes. Dismiss it once you have read it.
Improved
- Easier date entry: Type dates as numbers and the slashes appear automatically (DD/MM/YYYY), or pick from a calendar and quick presets.
- Help on every screen: Info icons on key screens open a short explanation, with new Help Center guides for Docs, readiness, intake forms, 2FA and more.
- Product version shown in the app: The current BerryPM version now appears in the side menu and on your Profile, linking to these notes.
Fixed
- Plan dates now stick: Dates changed directly in the Plan view now save reliably and stay after you reload the page.
